Abstract
Despite women comprising the majority of the nursing workforce in Saudi Arabia, they remain under-represented in leadership roles. This narrative review explores the barriers and facilitators to women's advancement in nursing leadership within the framework of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. Key challenges include cultural norms, gender bias, limited recognition, and lack of leadership training. Facilitators such as national mentorship programs, leadership academies, and public image reforms offer promise. The review underscores the need for targeted nvestments in education, structured leadership pathways, and adaptation of international models to empower Saudi female nurses and support inclusive health system transformation.
