Abstract
Eric Johannesen of the Western Reserve Historical Society discusses the builders and architects responsible for constructing the communities in the early Western Reserve. Johannesen differentiates between journeyman and the often overlooked master builders, and highlights the contributions of specific builders to the region’s architectural development.
