Abstract
Bishop Anthony Pilla discusses the challenges and priorities created by urban sprawl in Northeast Ohio from the point of view of the Catholic diocese. Believing that the “underwriting of sprawl” is often not matched with needed maintenance and redevelopment, Pilla calls for common responsibility, ongoing education, redevelopment of central cities, and advocacy.
