Abstract
James McConkey discusses his childhood growing up in Lakewood, then Olmsted Falls, the impacts those neighborhoods had on him, and the inspiration they provided for his novel. Then, Raymond DeCapite writes on the places and individuals that make the Hillcrest neighborhood known as Tremont or the South Side the unique place that it is.
