Abstract
Ricky Clark shares the history, practices, and experiences that inspired and contributed to the quilts held in Western Reserve historical collections today. “Western Reserve quilts are rooted in traditions shared by quiltmakers everywhere, yet they also mirror the region and cultures of Northeastern Ohio”, reflecting geography, demography, heritage, changes in textile technology, religious beliefs, and more.
