Abstract
This thesis develops a coupled simulation/response surface methodology to find an optimum variable (s, S) policy for an inventory control system. The system considered is very general and fits many business scenarios. It allows for probabilistic and seasonal demand, probabilistic lag time and realistic other complexities.
