Abstract

In this paper, replacement strategies applicable to failing type of items with monotonically increasing failure rate are considered. In particular, multistage as well as single stage strategies are compared with respect to the behaviour of their important characteristics. Considerations in the choice and implementation of the strategies are discussed.
