CALL FOR NEW EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

Dr. Angela Clark-Taylor will be leaving Case Western Reserve as Executive Director of the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women in a few weeks and will no longer be the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal for Women and Gender Centers (JWGCHE). To keep this important publication going we are seeking an Interim-Editor for one-year while the University hires a new Executive Director (who may or may not edit the Journal).

The JWGCHE utilizes participatory methodologies to explore and improve existing programs, create new and innovative programming, and disseminate best practices to advance women and gender equity in higher education. You can learn more about the Journal including the review board here: https://commons.case.edu/jwgche/about.html

The Editor oversees the review process, communicates with and advises authors, curates the final volume and writes the letter to the Editor. They are supported by a Managing Editor (staff at Case Western) who sends articles out for review, copy edits and publishes on our platform the final journal. Candidates will agree to a 1-year volunteer position and should be available to start receiving manuscripts in fall 2024 to prepare for issues published in summer 2025. Self-nominations are also encouraged. A $500 stipend will be provided.

Nominate candidates by preparing a statement of one page or less in support of a nominee, to be submitted by email to Angela Clark-Taylor (axc954@case.edu) by June 2nd. Reviews will begin immediately and the selected candidate will be notified on June 7th.

Second Issue coming soon!

We are looking forward to the launch of our second issue in early June, featuring a new submission on the incredible work being done! A complete second volume will be released in June 2025.

First Issue Now Available!

Our first issue is now live! Please visit the issue page to read the three submissions: a research article, an innovative program, and a center history, as well as a welcome letter from Editor-in-Chief Angela Clark-Taylor, Ph.D. We are excited to share this inaugural volume, and look forward to your future submissions!
