Abstract

This paper presents a proactive approach for use by large and small enterprises in seeking out countertrade potentialities. The approach is based on the Marginal Cost Ratio and the Marketing Synergy concepts. It directs the trader to those industries and specific enterprises which show the greatest countertrade benefit potential.
