Abstract
We consider a three node system having external Poisson arrivals at rate λ. Arrivals are received at a binary switch and go to node 1 with probability r1 and go to node 2 with probability r2 = 1 - r1. We refer to r1 and r2 as the switching parameters. After service at these first-stage stations, departures from either node 1 or 2 proceed to node 3 and depart the system after service there.
